Fully Self-Contained Ductless Fume Hood

Design

The Air Scrubber Systems® SE-48 Ductless Fume Hood is a ventilated enclosure designed to capture and contain exhaust fumes, gases, vapors, mists, aerosols and most particulate matter generated by acids or solvents used in the processing of various products.

The enclosure consists of rear, side and top panels and an adjustable face shield. It provides a safe atmosphere to provide operator safety at work by maintaining an air flow of at least 100 C.F.M. away from the operator. In addition, hazardous fumes are removed from the work air environment by our built in water Scrubber(Optional) and/or Tri Media Filtered System.

The Model SE-48 Ductless Fume Hood is constructed from all stress relieved, fully seam welded white Polypropylene. The hood is 100% metal free and uses no nylon components. Other plastic used is High density polyethylene, Flame Retardant polypropylene, PVDF or Teflon.

A sliding vertical window is provided as a standard. The window provides a work access opening from 23" to fully closed. The sliding sash is constructed of 1/4" Teflon Coated Clear Lexan.

Maintenance and Filter Replacement

  • The Charcoal Filter should be replaced depending on the amount of use which can be determined by charcoal analysis after 4 month of use for the basis of the replacement on the results.
  • Polymer Filter should be replaced depending on the amount of use which can be determined by charcoal analysis after 6 months of use.
  • The Hepa and teflon filters should be replaced every 18 to 24 months.
  • Water Scrubber System(if equipped) should be cleaned periodically and inspected for operation. The system uses 30 to 50 gal per day of city water; drained water would be acid waste chemical although an autotitrator can be installed as an option.
  • All Air Scrubber Systems® Fume Hoods are designed to perform to all SAMA/SEFA Standards LF-10-1980, 1981, 1992; and the design and containment properties to ASHRAE Standards.110-1985 for Fume Hoods.
