By-Pass Fume Hood


Design

The CS-100 Bypass Fume Hood is a ventilated enclosure designed to capture , contain and exhaust fumes gases, vapors mists, aerosols, and most particulate matter generated with the products. The Fume Hood enclosure has a bypass, protected by a perforated grill which maintains a relatively constant volume of air flow through the Hood. As the sash is closed, air is bypassed at the top of the hood , causing the hood face velocity to increase much less rapidly than a conventional hood. The enclosure consists of Rear, Side and Top Panels with an open face providing a means to adjust the face opening via a vertical sliding sash. The Cabinet is designed to perform to all SAMA/SEFA Standards LF-10-1980, 1981, 1992; and the design and containment properties to ASHRAE Standards.110-1985 for Fume Hoods.

Constructions

  • The Model CS-100 Bypass Fume Hood is constructed from all stress relieved, fully seam welded white polypropylene. The hood is 100% metal free and uses no nylon components. Other plastic used is PVC High density polypropylene Flame Retardant and FR poly ethylene, PVDF or Teflon.
  • A sliding vertical fully counterbalance sash is provided as a standard. The sash provides for a work access opening from 20" to fully closed. The sliding sash is constructed of 1/4" Acrylic or Lexan PVC Clear or Tempered Glass.
